Q.) How can my wedding benefit from a DJ vs an iPod or band?

Q.) Which DJ will be at my wedding?
A.) During the initial meeting with Maximum Beat DJ, we do our best to pair you up with a Dj we feel you will have chemistry with. We provide a number of DJs to choose from but booking also depends on availability of our staff for the date of your event. Once you pay a deposit it will secures a DJ for your event, and you will then be notified which DJ will be at your wedding, have a chance to talk with your DJ and get to know him/her. However if need be we do provide one free change of DJ as long as its no less then 60 days before your event. This gives you ample time to go see the DJ we chose for you in action and build a friendship with him/her, but still leaves time for us to find you a replacement if you feel the chemistry is missing.
Q.) What will you be wearing at my wedding?
A.) All DJs will be dressed formal at your wedding, but not tacky (ie: no tuxedo)
Q.) Do you have microphones available?
A.) Basic Package (comes with 2 Wired Microphones) - Additional Microphones or Upgrades to Wireless is available by request.
Q.) What is your interaction style?
A.) All our DJs are trained to interact with all members of the wedding party and the guests. We are here to entertain but not take the spot light away from the main attraction (YOU)
Q.) Can I see you in action?
A.) Yes. Please ask which DJ will be booked for your wedding and we will give you his itinerary of which events are open for you to see him in action
Q.) Will you check out my wedding location prior to the big day?
A.) Yes. We include one free trip to the venue prior to the event
Q.) Do you attend the rehearsal?
A.) We urge you to book us for your rehearsal as well as the main event, as we would like to help cue music and walk through everything step by step. We provide rehearsal time at rate of $49/hr
Q.) Do you travel for weddings?
A.) Any trip within 2-hours from downtown Vancouver is included in the price, outside of that we charge $0.50c Per/KM from Vancouver to destination and back for out of town trips.
Equipment & Setup
Q.) How do Subwoofers make a sound system better?
A.) Subwoofers creates full even sound with low frequency bass it gives dancing a FEEL in addition to just listening to music.
Q.) How much power do you need? *watts = amps x volts
A.) I need one dedicated circuit of either 15 or 20 amps (120 Volts is adequate for powered speakers our DJs use). We speak with organizers of the hall/ballroom/venue to make sure of this to prevent tripping of a circuit so the party doesn't come to a sudden halt.
Q.) Do you travel?
A.) Yes. Up to 40 miles from downtown Vancouver.
Q.) How much time do you need to set-up?
A.) We need less then a couple to set up (depending on the package), but always allow for the day to give ample time.
Q.) What if your equipment fails? Do you have a backup?
A.) Yes. We always provide backup equipment during ALL events to make sure the night continues on
Q.) How do you setup and present your equipment?
A.) All of our equiptment is set up 1 hr prior to the event, allowing lots of time for changes, sound checks and any last minute additions if requested. All the equiptment is presented in a professional manor (ie: cords taped down to prevent anyone from hurting themselves, all equipment together neat and professional looking)
Insurance & Contracts
Q.) Are you insured? Can you supply me with proof of liability?
A.) Yes. We will be adding a section to the website with an image of our latest certificates (coming soon)
Q.) Do you provide a written contract?
A.) Yes. A contract brings piece of mind, that you know what to expect from us as a company for your special day, in writing and signed by both parties.
Q.) Are you a member of the BBB and why is that important?
A.) We are in the process of being an acredited company with the BBB. Why is this important? The BBB provides any potential customers who are looking to booking with us, detailed reports of any past complaints, how it was investigated, and how the company handled the customer when the company was proven innocent or at fault. When any customer sees the BBB designation, it gives reassureance and confidence that the company intends to deal fairly in business practices and is a respected entity. Q.) Does your DJ have an AVLA (Audio-Video Licensing Agency Inc.) License for exhibiting legally at your event?
A.) Yes, Click Here to View AVLA License. All of the music / video content property is legally bought specifically for doing public events, in accordance to the AVLA.
Q.) How is music picked out? Do you take requests?
A.) When Maximum Beat DJ does the inital meeting, we show you a general playlist of music we play at other weddings, we then ask you if there are certain songs / or genres that you would not like played, (ie: some weddings love country music, other weddings they don't want any country music played) Then we walk through all the special songs of the night (Enterance Song, First Dance, Father Daughter Dance, Boquet Toss, Garter Belt, Cake Cutting, Last Song etc...) and make sure you have those chosen to make your night special and unforgettable. We then open up the rest of our list for requests by the bride and groom for the dancing, we take requests from the guests as long as its not on our "list of things not to play" specifically by the bride and groom.
Q.) How many songs do you have?
A.) We have complied songs since 1940's and have every genre of music, I am proud to say we have the most complete music collection in Vancouver and all our DJs know which songs are the best classics / dancing songs you want to hear for continuous dancing pleasure. Our library is well over 100,000+ DJ Songs, 25,000+ Music Videos.

Q.) What are your Wedding prices?
A.) Basic Package $599 / Exquisite $850 / Ultimate $1350 / Hosted THeme Package or 1000+ people $2499+
Q.) How do I make an online payment?
A.) We offer Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, we take certified checks, cash and email money transfers. See Online Booking Area to pay online and make a deposit. Please also send an email prior to sending any money to accounting@maximumbeatdj.com with your first and last name, date of event, payment method choosen and amount of money your sending (deposit is 50% upfront of the choosen package to reserve a DJ for the date of your event)
